MK1 Austin Seven Mini 1960 – SOLD £8215.00

By March 30, 2015 No Comments

This delightful early Austin Seven mini has been in storage since last owned by a lady in Slough in 1976, by which time it had covered 50,265 miles. Built on 13th September 1960, in Farina grey with grey and blue trim, it is a full matching numbers car with original shell, and original correct body, engine and chassis plates, all confirmed by the heritage certificate and V5C. Since new it had had a respray in red ( a lot of which had peeled off ) but otherwise remained standard. Recently the mini has been sympathetically restored, fitted with an all new brake system, fully rebuilt original engine, and is currently undergoing a professional bare metal exterior repaint in its original colour. Remarkably the interior is completely original and in superb order, as is the bodywork. Even the front and rear subframes are the original items. The engine runs like a sewing machine, the car drives perfectly, has a recent MOT with no advisories. and we are assured will be finished in time for the auction. The history file includes the Heritage certificate, current V5C ( shows no former keepers), old green logbook, various old invoices, MOTs,photographs, handbook, lubrication chart etc. With values of early Mark 1 minis rocketing this is not only a lovely car to use and enjoy but a good investment as well.
