Austin 1800 1973 entered into July 25th Classic Car Auction
What a fine example of this marque. Introduced in ’64 with its 1.8 transverse engine, all independent fluid suspension set new standards for space and handling, voted car of the year its UK and Europe in ’65. Very good history file with photographs detailing repairs, improvements and engine rebuild. Some will remember how good they were in endurance rallying, 2nd in ’68 London to Sydney marathon, and finished very well in the London to Mexico world cup rally, 3 in the top 20. This car is fitted with genuine minilite wheels and full electronic ignition. This is the one to buy!
