Auctioneers Notes: Aston Martin, the name in itself sets the adrenalin racing. This car has been in store for a number of years and the early history from 1976 – 1985, when Mr. Redfern of Leeds purchased the car – is missing. Total ownership from new, 5 owners. Sadly she is recorded on damage alert register in February 1989. Mr. Redfern owned the car until fairly recently and the interesting history starts in 2001/2002 and there is a file of invoices from Aston Martin Lagonda, including one for £23,322.06 and another invoice for £12,270 for work on the cylinder heads and an invoice from Chris Shenton Engineering for an engine re-build for £11,600, sadly there is no mileage recorded on any of these invoices. The MOT history file starts in 06, mileage 33,599 and she has now just passed her MOT on 25.5.19 mileage 35,526 – she has covered a total of 1927 miles over the past 13 years. I think it is fair to assume that she has not covered a lot of miles since the work was carried out. For the technically minded, these V8s breath through 4 twin choke carbs, the cars have a maximum speed of 146MPH and 0 – 60 6.6 seconds, still quick by today’s standards.
