Originally registered ADP514 in 1937 the car was not registered on the DVLA database in 1983 so lost it’s original number. Restored by a previous owner in the late 1990’s. The first MOT in the history file is from May 2001 and the mileage was recorded as 00001. Included are photos of the body off restoration. The vendor tells us the paintwork is beautiful and it has the original leather brown interior. Fitted with flashers to cope with modern traffic. New clutch assembly fitted recently. This is one of two cars entered by the vendor (see also lot 76) from his Austin collection, he tells us he is now selling due to age catching up with him.

Auctioneers notes: This Austin 14/6 Goodwood is out of the top draw, a real gem. The vendor purchased her in May ’17 and he is now slimming down his collection due to advancing years. These cars have an adjustable steering column
and you can alter the height of the driver’s seat, that was standard 84 years ago in these cars. The 14/6 is quite capable of holding her own on A Class Roads, for technical buffs she has a 6 cylinder engine, capacity 1711 cc, producing 52 BHP. A lot of interesting literature, including some from the Kit Head Trust (which is a registered charity which is registered as a national transport archive.) There are quite a number of car club magazines which will keep you reading for many hours. She really is an outstanding example of the Austin Motor Company’s products.
