Description:Auctioneers Notes: I went down to sunny Weymouth to meet the vendor and to look at this very solid Austin A30. She retains the original registration number and has been fitted with a larger 948cc engine to make it go and to make it stop, it is fitted with a break servo. There is a massive history file, in it you will find a bound original workshop manual, various owners club magazines, old V5C’s and MOT’s back to ’81 – 18 in total – purchase sales invoice to the previous keeper, dated September ’82 and his hand-written log book listing journeys and work carried out. Full size lub chart, spare keys, old tax discs, loads of invoices back to ’97, including one in July ’10 for the overhaul of the engine which included new pistons, re-ground crank and new bearings etc. She is a very tidy car, finished in off white with red trim. The condition of the interior particularly is excellent. The body work is good, appears to be rust free, all the gaps are correct, to be critical the paintwork could do with a good buff. A great starter classic – may be viewed by appointment. |
