This Austin A40 has had just 2 keepers during its 59 year life, the first keeper Miss Sumner owned the car from new in 1960 until 2002 when it was sold to its second owner Mr Abrahams. Included in the file are MOTs from 1967 to 1993 plus some current certificates and tax discs from 1963, loads of handbooks and workshop manual.

Auctioneers Notes: We at SWVA are incredibly lucky to be able to offer this unique Austin A40 Farina, she is outstanding. It is so rare to come across an example such as this. The history file is full of gems such as the original service wallet (BP Energol Lub) with 7 invoices in the wallet, plus the original BMC Maintenance Book with 10 stamps. She also has invoices from ’63, the original V5 showing Mrs Daisy Ethel Summer as the first registered owner. She was the registered keeper until July 02 when the second owner took over. By the way, she has a collection of old tax discs back to 1963 and its petrol rationing book.
It all makes fascinating reading. Included in its file is an original copy of Autocar, dated February ’63 cost 1s 3d. workshop manual, driver’s handbook plus other reference books. This rare find may be viewed by appointment as from now. It is interesting to note that over the past 59 years she has covered a total mileage of 39,000.
