The final incarnation of the Allegro resulted in a well sorted, very capable car that looked good, enjoyed improved performance and was an excellent drive. Unfortunately it was too late to halt declining sales and production ceased in 1982.
This Allegro 3 was purchased in 1981 by Reginald Taylor and owned by him, then his daughter, until 2005 and is one of the nicest Allegro’s you could wish to find. The car has only had four owners in 34 years and looks lovely in its original paint. With no welding, the vendor states this car is mechanically well sorted and has a lovely interior. The huge history file includes invoices back to 1983, original Service Book, Supercover documentation, owner service cards, MOTs/tax discs, collectable BL sales/press literature and an MOT to late July 2016.
Allegro’s are an extremely rare sight on the road and this car will give lots of pleasure for the fortunate new owner.
