|1952||Austin||Atlantic||69,800 (Not Warranted)||£12,000.00 + buyers premium|
Originally supplied by Vincents of Reading, the car still carries it’s original registration number which is transferable. GDP was owned for many years (around 1991 to 2007) by a keen Atlantic enthusiast in Leeds who took the vehicle to countries all over Europe. There are several badges affixed to the dashboard showing the countries and regions he visited. The car was then purchased for display in a classic car museum which sadly never opened before it was purchased by a private owner in 2013 and was taken on several rallies and numerous car shows. It was then purchased by the vendor in 2017 who states it is believed there are now only 25 road going examples that exist world wide. Work in the last 5 years include engine rebuild (now unleaded), brake overhaul and new clutch.
Auctioneers Notes: We are very pleased to be offering this Austin A90 Atlantic. They are very rare and I have to say that the owner is very sad about selling his pride and joy, but there is a very good reason, health reasons. This car is a very sound and useable powerful vehicle for its day and the looks are amazing for a 68 year old motor car. She produces 88 bhp, top speed is over 90 mph. They have unique features, one is that the middle section of the rear window winds down, turned by a handle by the front wind screen.. Come and view her.
