Description:This beautiful car was purchased in 1996 and underwent a full 1000 hour restoration of which the full photographic record is here in the office. Included in the sale are two large boxes of various spare parts, history files, books and manuals. The restoration was completed in 2002, sadly the owner passed away and the car is now on sale on behalf of his family, a very rare opportunity to acquire such a stunning example. Auctioneers Notes Sadly, this car is only in the market due to the passing of the owner. The late owners husband & wife purchased this Frog Eye on 20/6/96 car was supplied new by F.J. Smith (Motors) Ltd on 24/8/59 and was built on the 2nd – 3rd of July of that year. She has had an engine change, see B.M.I.H.T. Certificate. Lots of very interesting history in the file, original sales invoice to the late owners for £5,100 dated June ’96, the then owner was a Mr. M.G. Bartlett. The history file starts from ’91 – 2017, in there are a lot of old MOT’s back to 1985 and on examining them all she appears to have only covered 33 – 35,000 miles in the past 28 years. You also have an old V5 a number of old tax discs, letters from the Austin Healey Owners Club and others including the DVLA. This is an outstanding little car – may be viewed by appointment. |
