Description:Description from The Vendor: This is the third Frogeye I have owned and definitely is the best. She is a lovely example and has been upgraded over the years. She now has a 1275cc engine and gearbox (which was rebuilt in 2012) with 1 1/4 twin carbs and an uprated clutch. The car’s body, engine and gearbox were rebuilt by the previous owner who has the car from 2010-2012 in Northern Ireland. She drives well and can keep up with modern traffic with ease. I have recently converted my garage to a home office and utility room and now have limited space for the Frogeye so unfortunately she must be sold, I am sure the new owner will have as much pleasure with the car as I have had.
Auctioneer’s notes: This Austin Healey Frog Eye, without doubt, is one of the best Sprites we have had the pleasure to sell by auction. Restored around 2010, you will find in the history file there are some photos of the restoration and a good number of invoices that go back to the beginning of the century. I can tell you that the vendor is pretty unhappy to have to sell it. I like the upgrades, the 1275cc engine equates to approximately 65 BHP – that will make her a bundle of fun to drive.
