Supplied new of Caffyns PLC of Horsham and registered on 10-10-1983. Caffyns were known for after market upgrades and this is where it is believed it had a two tone paint work the seats re trimmed and sunroof fitted. From there it was sold to it’s second keeper Mr Richmond in Feb 1984, first MOT in Sept 1986 at 17,155 miles. It was then sold to Harfields Car Sales in 1987 at 18,278 miles who sold it to its third registered keeper Mr Edwards in February 1987 who kept it until 2016. MOTs and receipts from 02/1987 to 04/2001 show the mileage increase by 1704 (an average of 122 miles a year). From 2001 to 2004 the car was only taken out for MOTs so increased a further 3 miles before being put into storage until 2016.
It was then purchased by the vendor who removed the car from the garage to get it running and back on the road.
Work included:
Engine: New oil/ oil filter, air filter, plugs, HT leads, points, condenser, coil, petrol pump, carb rebuild kit, water pump, fan belt, starter motor overhaul, alternator overhaul, new battery and antifreeze.
Clutch: rebuild kit master cylinder, new slave cylinder, bled clutch and new fluid.
Brakes: New brake master cylinder, bled brakes new fluid, complete check of brake system.
Other work includes pump suspension, four new tyres, two new rear gas struts, new front and rear wipers, new rear wash bottle, general check over and clean up for MOT.

Auctioneers Notes: This fantastic Metro is entered by the forth owner who purchased her in September ’16. The history file is second to none, it starts off with an index with 8 different headings.
