On the Surface: This 1981 Austin-Morris Mini Clubman Estate presents as a decent example of the iconic Mini. Finished in a vibrant Bronze Yellow.

Maintenance & History: Approximately 20 years ago, this Mini was driven to France, where it was stored in a barn until its return to the UK in 2023. Upon its arrival, it was purchased by The Vendor, who has since revitalised it.

Under The Vendor’s ownership, significant work has been undertaken. This includes the installation of new sills, new floor pans and a completely replaced and resprayed front end. Several other new parts have also been fitted. While unconfirmed, The Vendor believes the engine may have been rebuilt by Minisport based on the engine number. The vehicle has been used for enjoyment and time trials in The Vendor’s ownership

The Model: The Mini Clubman, restyled in 1969 by British Leyland under designer Roy Haynes, was intended to bring a fresh, squared-off look to the beloved Mini lineup. With production ceasing in the early 1980s, 197,606 Clubman Estates were produced, and this example is one of just 457 Clubman models of all body types still registered on UK roads.
