Description:Austin Seven – 1930 – 748cc – 3 Speed Manual Edition in Green/Black This is one of a 14 car collection entered by a private collector. This car was purchased by the current owner for his extensive collection as a fairly rare car; the body is in excellent condition and is very solid. There is no rust of any kind apparent on this vehicle and the coachwork is beautifully presented in Green and Black. It has a material roof to give a sense of style and also stops any drumming often associated with these elderly vehicles. The idea of the wider door gives better access to the rear seats, a new battery is fitted under the front passenger seat which is easily accessible to maintain. The engine is a 4 cylinder 748cc and is very basic in design, with many parts available for this wonderful little car. It has also benefited from a newly constructed radiator made by Wessex Radiators to the original specification, to retain the look that was intended for these very useable cars. A new distributor specially constructed for these cars has also been fitted and found to be very successful. Various engine parts have been replaced on this vehicle, so that it would not be troublesome for years to come and much fun and enjoyment could be gained by owning such a great example of British engineering.
