Description:

Auctioneer’s notes:

This model was classified as one of Sir Herbert Austin’s jewels.  The model ran until 1939 and today they have become very, very rare.  The “Jewels” consisted of the Ruby, Pear and Opal.  The engine is a massive 747cc

which manages to produce 17 bhp.  The engine drives through a 4-speed gearbox with synchro on the second, third and top.  They also have 4-wheel braking.  They were produced under license in many countries such as France, Germany, Japan etc.  In the history file there is a list of work that has been carried out by the vendor.  She is a charming little car and a lot of fun can be had with these little gems.  The Owners Club is very well established and they are very helpful in supplying spares etc.  Please book your slot to come and view this Opal.
