1930 Austin Seven Swallow 6230 (Not Warranted) £17000 + buyers premium

Description:

This is the 17th oldest Mark 1 Austin Seven Swallow Saloon of the known 30 on the Swallow register and it was first registered on 26th March 1930. It has been extensively restored over many years, all of which has been carefully documented. The car was purchased by a previous owner in 1963 in a dilapidated condition and over a number of years a great deal of expenditure was lavished on the car. However the restoration received a major setback when the owner became ill in recent years. A family friend, the previous registered keeper, took on the final stages of the restoration. After 50 years this Swallow is now back on the road and has been in light use. The vendor bought this car at Richard Edmonds auction on 28th Feb 2015. Since then he has re-wired the car correctly, fitted replacement parts as necessary, re-chromed the windscreen surround, door handles and fitted replacement hardwood door cappings.
Included in the file is an automobile magazine from January 2015 with a detailed article on the restoration of the car. The original buff logbook, various invoices and photographs.
