Included in the history file is a list of previous owners from new until it was purchased by the previous owner Mr Wilkins, a friends of the current owner, from motoring journalist Liz Turner. Liz had written an article in the September 1996 issue of BMW Car Magazine (a copy of which is included in the file) in which she states she was seduced by the perfect black lux interior and the seemingly genuine 60,000. Unfortunately there is not enough evidence to support the mileage although the speedo reading is now approaching 73,000.
The current owner purchased the car in August 2016 after it had been garaged and unused for 10 years. The autumn and winter months were spent freeing seized brakes, replacing the alternator mountings, replacing injection pump belt, door cards, making and fitting new accelerator pedal and many minor issues prior to its MOT in March.
Many spares come with the car including 5 Alley Cat wheels, brake servos, headlamps, correct air filter, good used gearbox, 2002 cylinder head, passenger door with minimal rust plus various bits of trim.

Auctioneers notes: We are delighted to offer this iconic seventies BMW Tii. She has a massive service/invoice file from ‘ 91 to the present day along with 17 old MOT’s from ’91 mileage 34752 to the current MOT, with no advisories mileage 71563. The vendor has received from the DVLA a list of all registered keepers. She comes with the original BMW wallet with handbook etc. The interior is in very sound order indeed, no tears, structurally she is sound but the doors will require attention. She is ready to be used. These cars really are cracking to drive with excellent performance.
