We are pleased to be able to offer, what we think, is a very rare Citroen. These Citroen AC4G 1622CC 30 BHP Model Familiale (Domestic) were manufactured between 1928 & 1932 in various body designs. It is currently on Nova and it is declared as being manufactured in 1936, but we have a feeling she could be a little older. This Citroen Model AC4G is unique in its design – it can either be a 7 seater or, in typical French fashion, the seats can come out and she becomes a utility vehicle with a hatchback, exactly the same as the Austin A40 Farina Countryman, the top half lifted up and the bottom half folds down. Very little is known about this car. On looking at the engine (which is free) it is noticeable that all the gaskets are new and the engine is clean.
Auctioneers notes: The engine number is 06175 Type M and the chassis no. is 885889. It is interesting that at the bottom of the radiator by the starting handle entry port, is the word CHAUSSON. I would be delighted, if any Citroen experts could tell me what that means. She is being sold as a rolling project and comes with 4 new tyres one which is fitted to a road wheel (3 new tyres are in the back of the car) together with a replacement windscreen. Can be viewed by appointment.
Update: After a little research it is believed this Citroen was manufactured around 1928. However we will leave it with you, the prospective buyer to check for yourself.
