Description:Auctioneer’s notes: This lovely car has only come to market as the owner, who purchased her in 2008, has passed away. The ownership history of this car is very interesting. The first registered keeper was the supplying agent Brooklands of Bond Street in 1953. Then, in December ’53 a Mr. C.R. Volz purchased her and in January ’55 she went back to Brooklands of Bond Street in August ’55 she was sold to P. Brunner Esq. and she stayed in that family until 2008 (53 years) when Mr. Hill purchased her and now Mrs. Hill, the vendor’s widow has registered the car in her name. Only 270 were built and only 20 were Mark I’s. The late Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh owned a Mark I and it was recently sold at auction for a record £350,000. We have the original logbook and old V5 and all this adds up to a great providence. The history file has his own briefcase and in it you will find an Instruction Book, spare keys, a number of MOT’s from 1966 to 2011, and invoices from 1962 to 2021 including one from Davron well-known Aston Martin Specialists of Salisbury, dated 12.6.15 for major service on the engine at a cost £2484.76. A good number of useful instruction leaflets including “Lagonda Club Technical Tips” plus s number of car club magazines and there is a file on Mr. Brunner which includes correspondence and pictures of this car outside his mansion. Lastly, you will find the “Motor” road test. You may view this rare car, strictly by appointment.
