Description:Auctioneer’s Notes: This, sadly, is a bereavement sale, we sold his Lagonda Rapier Special about a year ago. This ’33 J Type is in very good order, they only made this model from 1932 – 1934, a total of 2499 were made. Under the bonnet, you will find a 4 pot single OHC crossflow engine that drives through a 4-speed crash gearbox. Bearing in mind that she is 88 years young, she can obtain a top speed of 65 MPH. These cars are really great fun to drive. She has a photocopy of the original workshop manual, plus a guide to the restoration of J Types, plus a spare parts list. May be viewed, strictly by appointment. |
