Description:Description from The Vendor: The current owner has had this Daimler for 4 years, in which time it has proved a popular wedding car for brides in the Lincoln shire and Nottinghamshire region. Privately owned and well maintained, ‘KEL’ can be used as is or improved over time. A sound structure and a long MOT. The car has extensive history including a restoration invoice from 1990 totalling almost £5,000. Though a long way from being a showpiece, ‘KEL’ has always polished up well and turned heads even if just pootling around the village. The pandemic has caused a rethink about wedding hire and a more ‘sporty’ classic is being sought by the owner for private use. Hence the fact that this lovely old Daimler seeks a new caring owner.
Auctioneer’s notes: This is a very usable Daimler 2.5lit V8. The sound coming from a V8 cannot be mistaken, these engines are superb. This car benefits from a comprehensive history – from 1982 – 2019. Included in the file there is an invoice dated 1990 for the restoration of the car and with it are a good number of photos of the restoration. The bill in 1990 was £4801. She has MOT’s back to ’85 and numerous photocopies of log books including the original buff one up to early V5C. To finish, she comes with the original handbook and she may be viewed, strictly by appointment. |
