Description:

A fully documented restoration in 1999 turned this UK registered Fiat 500 into an Abarth replica with a new 650cc engine professionally rebuilt to racing standards and Oselli tuned. Alloy barrels, gas flowed heads, fully balanced and with a deep alloy sump. Fuel is fed into a Dellorto FZD carb, which was fitted with a new sport inlet manifold in 2013. Electronic ignition fires up the engine with sound augmented through the sports exhaust.
Upgrades by Middle Barton Garage in 2012 costing £4,300.00, include recommissioning after a long period off the road, new Spax gas adjustable lowered front and rear shock absorbers and an Abarth 595/695 front leaf spring. Minilite style wheels shod with Bridgestone tyres and wheel arches complete the Abarth conversion.
Included in the comprehensive history folder are various photos, a mileage log, Classic Car Weekly article and from 1999 many bills totalling £4723.00 for the Abarth conversion and repaint. The Middle Barton Garage invoices total £ 3894. making a total in excess of £8600.00
