By 1999 the Ford Escort range of cars was being replaced by the Ford Focus range. The final incarnation of the Escort had been reduced to two models the Flight and the Finesse. The Finesse is the more expensive variant being better equipped with Alloy Wheels, Air Conditioning, CD Player, Fog Lamps and Metallic Paint. This vehicle was originally registered to the Ford Motor Company (possibly as a demonstrator) on 17/02/1999 and purchased, from Ford by the current registered lady owner, Mrs Durham, on 01/10/1999. The original Ford bill of sale, in the documentation, shows the mileage at 10,200. Mrs Durham has covered minimal annual mileage in her 22 years of ownership (under 500 miles a year since 2016) taking the current mileage to under 43,300 miles and this is clearly indicated by the original Ford service book records and the MOT history. The history includes the original and current V5, spare key, service history with 16 stamps, original book pack containing radio code/audio guide/owners handbook and general maintenance bills including a new catalytic converter at 40,193 miles in 2016. Recent work carried out has dealt with all previous MOT advisory and potential failure items and the new MOT Certificate was issued on 16/10/21 with no advisories indicated.

This 1999 Ford Escort 1.6 Finesse Hatchback is the last model to carry the iconic name “Escort”, they made their debut in 1967 and ran for 32 years.  I think that the vendor’s description is spot on and she really is in tip-top condition and may be viewed, strictly by appointment.
