On the Surface: This 1989 Ford Sierra Ghia 2.9i 4×4 Estate is a rare example of the sought-after ‘Turbo Technics’ twin-turbo conversion. Finished in striking Tasman Blue over a two-tone grey cloth interior.

Maintenance & History: Owned by the Vendor for the past 10 years, this Sierra comes with a decent history file which includes original handbooks (2x Ford Sierra Owner’s Handbooks and the Ford Audio Handbook), a Sierra 4×4 Estate optional extras brochure list, numerous invoices for parts, work, and labour, along with some old MOT certificates. Additionally, it features Turbo Technics body stickers and an important letter from Brands Hatch Ford confirming the fitment of the Turbo Technics twin-turbo conversion.

Supplied new by Brands Hatch Ford on 20/07/1989, this car has had just three former keepers in its 35-year life.

The Model: Powered by a 2.9-litre injected Cologne V6 engine Turbocharged versions of the Sierra were available as post-production models from companies like Janspeed, but most notably, Turbo Technics was renowned for their high-performance upgrades. The twin-turbo setup on this model includes a pair of Garrett T.02 turbos paired with custom-built manifolds—one for each bank of the Cologne V6 engine’s cylinders. The combination of the twin-turbocharged powertrain and 4×4 drivetrain offers an excellent driving experience, setting this Sierra apart from standard models. Coupled with the high-spec Ghia trim, it’s a rare blend of power, luxury, and practicality, making it highly collectible in the classic car scene.

Sale Insight: This particular Sierra is highly desirable not only for its rare Turbo Technics conversion but also due to its limited ownership history. With just three former keepers it’s a compelling opportunity for any Ford enthusiast or collector looking for a unique piece of ‘Fast Ford’ heritage.
