This is a very rare Humber being a diesel. It is believed the company made 17 for a chauffeuring company, they were made by Humber and Perkins of Petersborough. The vendor has owned the car for 7 years and is now selling due to ill health. The small history file has a letter from the post vintage Humber car club confirming the above.
Auctioneers notes: The hire company was in fact Rootes Chauffeur Hire, Rootes being the parent company of Humber. This car is in very usable condition and the body and interior are in good order. The Perkins engine produces 90BHP
