Auctioneers Notes: I don’t use the word concourse, but if I did, this car gets very, very close. The vendor, who is 80 years young, built this car to his specification for continental travelling and all the modifications carried out point in that direction. It is worth noting that the original bucket seats which will need to be re-upholstered and the delightful Moss 4-speed gear box can be collected by the purchaser from the vendors home and he asked me to say that he would be very pleased to talk about the car to the new owner. By the way, these items are included in the sale at no extra cost. The vendor asked me to mention that the rear shock absorbers are adjustable for height and ratet and the front shock absorbers rate only. All brake and clutch pipes are Goodrick flex pipes, and as bleeding E-Type rear brakes are a nightmare he has fitted a remote rear bleeding system – see photos on line. There is a massive, comprehensive history file and the vendor has an original photograph of the car when he purchased her. The car can be viewed by appointment, she is something special. Should a RHD car be preferred, then the conversion is simple, very common and inexpensive. Companies such as M&C Wilkinson, (Danielle , 01777 618061) undertake this conversion, at a cost of less than £5,000 |
