Description:Description from The Vendor: My late Father John Ostroumoff bought the Car in excellent condition and it had done around 50,000 miles My Father passed away in 2005 and the Car was gifted to me also John Ostroumoff and I have looked after it since 2005 and had it totally restored by Winspeed and spent the best part of £33,000 on it over the years. I have until Covid came to force in March 2020 not driven it however have as you do with old cars stored it undercover and in a safe environment I have started it every 3 weeks to run the engine. My Father told me that it is an exceptionally rare Jaguar as they made very few manuals and the fact it is a unique convertible sports car with an excellent Jaguar design it will only go up in value over the years. The engine is in excellent condition and the work Winspeed carried out as you can see from the collection of invoices from the restoration tells you that it has been very well looked after. Auctioneer’s notes: This is a rare opportunity to acquire this superb example of a 1984 Jaguar 3.6 XJ-SC which has a manual gearbox. A real driver’s car. the father of the vendor purchased the car on 28.9.89 in his company’s name Barnside Motors. Invoice on file. mileage 54,000. We have the full-service history up to the last stamp issued on 29.8.89, mileage 53,451, 9 stamps in total. Now to the interesting part, you will find online 13 pages of invoices from Windspeed Motorsport Ltd. To put it all into a nutshell, those invoices add up to a staggering £35,515.85. It surely makes this car unique. I have no doubt that the mileage could be correct and we are awaiting confirmation from the vendor. By the way, the registration number JAZ1762 stays with the car. The Vendor when moving house recently lost or misplaced the current logbook. The purchaser of this vehicle will need to apply for a duplicate.
