Description:New 4.2 engine fitted together with manual gearbox with overdrive. Resprayed to original colour of Jaguar Grey. Both inlet and exhaust manifold removed and refitted with new gaskets, studs and nuts. Stainless steel exhaust unit fitted. New copper insert plugs leads and caps, new distributor cap, new plugs and transistorised ignition, heavy gauged fan belt, new thermostat, new radiator, new hoses, uprated brakes, 5 new tyres, new set of seatbelts back and front, new radio and new carpets.
Auctioneers notes: This is a very rare example of the iconic XJ6 S1. Only 4 owners from new and she has only covered a genuine 59,000 miles. We have the MOT history from 1975 plus the original service book which proves the mileage. The history file has everything from the original sales invoice (cost new £2,800) plus old log books and old MOT’s, full original wallet containing handbook, service book plus a handwritten log. In the file there are letters, invoices etc She really is a cracker and can be viewed as from now. It is worth noting she has a 4.2 lit engine and she is rare as she has a manual gearbox with overdrive. |
