Maintenance & History: The current owner has cherished this vehicle for the last nine years, maintaining it with care and attention. The car comes with an extensive history file for its age, including MOT certificates and invoices totaling over £14,000. Additionally, the original Jaguar bookpack is present, which includes the Driver’s Handbook, Driver’s Handbook Supplement, Vehicle Care booklet, and the In-car Telephone Handbook. Despite the expenditure lavished on this car the EM light in on, however, as with all these XJ’s there is a strong suspiscion that this may just be a faulty sensor.

The Model: Jaguar initially planned to release a brand-new saloon under the code name XJ90 after the XJ40, however, Ford, which owned Jaguar at the time, delayed the saloon’s development. Instead, they integrated new V8 engines and revised the front and rear sections of the XJ40 to create the X300 series, which became a great success. By 1997, the XJ8 badge was introduced with the X308 generation, powered by a brand-new V8 engine, and featured refined exterior styling, including more rounded lights and updated interior fittings.
