On the Surface: This beautiful example of a final form Jaguar XJS is finished in stunning Sapphire over a Cream leather interior. Maintenance & History: Unfortunately, due to the situation surrounding the reason this car has come to sale, it comes with very little paperwork/history. Only a couple of MOTs from the years 1998 and 2016 are on file, the V5 registration document and a singular invoice. The invoice on file details work completed as of February 2024 including a new alternator, new tyres, a new fuel filter, new plugs, a new oil filter and more – this invoice amounts to nearly £3,000! To supplement the lack of full history, we have added a full MOT history printout to the file, showing the MOTs between 2006 and 2024. The odometer reads 66,238 miles, which we believe to be correct, although this cannot be fully backed up due to the lack of comprehensive history. The Model: The Jaguar XJS is a luxury grand tourer manufactured and marketed by British car manufacturer Jaguar Cars from 1975 to 1996. There were three distinct iterations of the XJS, with this example being the final form facelift model. The XJS was relaunched in its final form in May 1991 under Ford Motor Company’s new ownership, as a division of its Premier Auto Group. Over its 20 years and seven months production span, a total of 115,413 units were produced. The final iteration of the Jaguar XJS featured a new 4.0-litre version of the AJ6 straight-six engine, producing 238 BHP. This powerful engine unit enabled the car to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 7.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 147 MPH, epitomising the luxurious yet sporty nature of the XJS. Sale Insight: While this 1994 Jaguar XJS 4.0 FHC comes with limited documentation, its excellent condition would make it a well priced purchase. |
