Description:Description from The Vendor: Tony and Cindy McGrail bought this Jaguar XKR in May 2018. Purchasing the car proved to be rather an adventure. The previous owner turned out to be a soldier and a metropolitan police officer of 25 years, with stunning stories to tell, and 3 published novels as a result. Blown off his feet at the London Baltic Exchange bombing in 1992, one of the first officers at the scene of the 1982 Regent’s Park bombing, he was also at the Libyan People’s Bureau in 1984 where he escorted his mortally wounded friend and colleague, Yvonne Fletcher to hospital. Needless to say, I fell in love with the car and bought all three books on the spot. The drive back from Wales was even more of an adventure as the car was a joy and a demon and an inspiration to drive. And that was before I really understood what was underneath the bonnet. I will never forget the look on Tony’s face as I pulled into the drive (somewhat later) behind him. Best not to repeat his words! Owning the Jag has been even more of an adventure and a delight. It is with great sadness that I must now part with my beloved XKR. Every drive has been a gorgeous experience. She never fails to give you a luxurious, comfortable ride, with that purr and tantalising roar beneath you of superb engineering. She never fails to deliver the second you need to put that foot down. Recently widowed, I have to say, in this respect, my husband excelled himself by finding this car for me. It was the second XK he found for me. I loved my XK8 but the R is just another world of power and excellence. The Jaguar XKR, as you may have guessed, is my second love affair, and I shall be very very sorry to see her go, but delighted to pass her on to a new owner who will be able to love her and cherish her as she so richly deserves. Believe me, every time you sit in her will be a day you will love to drive.

The engine is supercharged V8 4 lit quad cam 32 valves producing a very healthy 358bhp and would you believe, the extra urban driving official figure is 29 miles per gallon.
