On the Surface: This 1980 Kawasaki KLX250-A is an example of the early model that was produced for the North American market. Finished in Bright Green, it was imported into the UK in 1996. Maintenance & History: Since it’s importation into the UK, the KLX250 has had only three owners. Unfortunatley this Motorbike is lacking in the paperwork department but it is MOT-certified until January 2026. The Model: The KLX250 was Kawasaki’s response to the rising popularity of four-stroke dirt bikes in the late 1970s and early 1980s, a market pioneered by Yamaha’s TT500 and Suzuki’s DR370. Unlike its competitors, Kawasaki ingeniously repurposed the nimble KX125 motocross chassis to house the KL250’s dual-purpose four-stroke engine.
