Auctioneer’s notes:

1967 Mercedes-Benz 250 SL Roadster affectionately known as the “Pagoda”.  She is part of the private collection.  This beautiful 250 SL is the rarest of the W113’s, manufactured between 1966 – 1968,  The total number of these superb cars is 5196.  The W113 models are grand touring cars rather than an out and out sports car, with excellent handling, independent suspension all round and this 250 SL together with the 280 SL benefits from a 7 bearing crankshaft.  A great improvement on the earlier model.  For their modest engine size, considering she is 54 years old, she produces  148 bhp – giving brisk performance –   0 – 62 mph  10 seconds, top speed 124 mph.  She comes with hard and soft tops and we are waiting for further paperwork and, of course, we will be updating our website, once received.  It is obvious that when you look at this car that she has undergone the most extensive restoration, and, no doubt, very expensive too. We have 8 x A4 size photos showing the car in primer and when the top coat was applied. Amongst the limited paperwork we have at the moment there are 2 old V5’s and V5C’s which indicates that this car possibly has had a low ownership.  Please ring and book an appointment to view this stunning car.
