Description:Purchased new from Mercedes Benz main dealer in Dorchester in 1990 by the vendor’s close friend, this 500SL has been kept locally all of its life. The vendor purchased the car in 2003 as the second owner. This car was mainly used at weekends during it’s 29 year life and kept in the garage the rest of the time. MOT till next June and has only done 1,000 miles since last service. Full service history and receipts by Mercedes Benz main dealer and Independent Mercedes Specialist garage. The Mercedes technician that serviced the car at Mercedes in its early years is still servicing and maintaining it to this day. Finished in metallic Charcoal (black) with beige interior, AMG 18 inch wheels, Pioneer sound system, Mercedes alarm system, headlamp washers, tinted electric windows, cruise control and air conditioning (topped up and in good condition). Fitted with optional ADS suspension system giving comfort or sport mode which automatically lowers suspension height when exceeding 70 miles an hour. This system was checked and serviced by Mercedes Benz Southampton, Pentagon Ltd, (now called Marshall Mercedes Benz). Pristine original leather wallet containing service book and manual and all initial documentation, 2 fully functioning original grey Mercedes/Siemens remote control keys + 1 newer black Mercedes one, workshop/valet parking security keys are also included. Original tool kit, first aid kit, warning triangle and roof tool for removing hard top and manually lowering/raising soft top if required. Factory hardtop (including storage stand and cover which can be collected locally by purchaser) and 2 rear seats fitted with seat belts. 3 personal memory settings for passenger and driver for adjusting power seat, interior and external heated mirrors and steering wheel adjustment. Soft-top was replaced which now gives a nice clear rear view. Also included is a wind deflector. |
