Description:A simply stunning restored 1960 MGA Roadster in excellent condition with a fully documented/ photographed history. Presented in fabulous and outstanding condition, we believe this to be an unrepeatable opportunity especially given today’s restoration costs. Registered 18th January 1960 “82 YMH” Built Abingdon 18-11-1959 Restored over a period from 1986 , works undertaken 1994 – 2000 Black with Red leather interior. Petrol – unleaded conversion MOT to April 2016 . MOT not legally required Currently Road Taxed until 1st May 2019 Original genuine UK Car Heritage Certificate Current indicated mileage of 3200 miles ( re-set at restoration) Restoration costs are receipted at £30,776 on 1st October 2000, plus additional interior expenditure at £5000. Considerable receipted expenditure since then with a current total receipted costs well in excess of £40,000. The restoration at today’s values ( if possible) would surely cost considerably more. This beautiful car was enjoyed by the first owner Mr Morris in Barnes , SW London until he commenced restoration thoughts/ discussions in January 1986, with work commencing in November 1994. The Restorer selected was the very reputable West Hoathly Garage, Sussex – Rolls Royce and Bentley specialists. The total (“nut and bolt” ) restoration was completed October 2000 and the car was placed in storage until 2010.The third owner ( Mr Hendy) added the chrome wire wheels at £1853 plus 5 tyres. (March 2014). A much regretted genuine sale following recent lack of use due to health and other issues.
