Notably, the vehicle benefits from a recently installed full clutch kit, ensuring smooth and reliable driving. Accompanied by a well-documented history file, this MG B GT includes MOT certificates dating back to 1992, offering insight into its well-preserved condition over the decades. The car is supported by records from the MG Register and the MG Owner’s Club. This MG B GT, originally equipped with rubber bumpers, has undergone a chrome bumper conversion at a cost of circa £800. The Model: The MG B GT, introduced in October 1965 as a Pininfarina-designed hatchback GT derivative with 2+2 seating, represents a significant evolution from the original roadster. By the MKII model of 1967, improvements such as an updated manual gearbox with revised ratios and full synchromesh were introduced, alongside optional automatic transmission. Subsequent enhancements included a revised rear axle and the switch from dynamos to alternators. The MKIII model of 1972 brought additional updates, featuring a new fascia and an improved heater. However, the most notable change occurred in 1974 with the introduction of steel-reinforced plastic bumpers and an increased ride height to meet American market demands.
