Description:For a short video of the vehicle running please click here This car was purchased from SWVA by the vendor in 2014 when it was on Irish plates. According to the MG register chassis number TD6419 was supplied to Ireland as a CKD kit and assembled by Booth Bros in Dublin, one of only 30 produced that year. Unusually the car is trimmed in black with black hood and side screens. The car was repainted in Ireland before it was brought to the UK and purchased by the vendor. It was also recomissioned by marque specialist Robert Lovell – Butt including a new clutch, timing chain and carb rebuild. A brass plaque on the engine states it is a replacement from Morris Motors. Now UK registered. Auctioneers Notes: This is a fine example of an MGTD and these cars, which have rack & pinion steering and independent front suspension are superior to the earlier T models which results in a very drivable sports car without compromising the fun element of these iconic cars. |
