Description:

Auctioneers Notes: This delightful MG 1600 Roadster has been owned by the vendor for over 40 years. It went into storage in approx 1982 and stayed cocooned in the dry until it was restored in 2013/14. The 1600 “A’s” benefit from front disc brakes and increased BHP to 80 giving brisk (for its time) Performance, stop speed around 100 MPH – these cars are well known for their excellent handling qualities.  The history file for this car starts in 1982 but the important part dates 2013/2014 when the car went to “Mike Rolls Service for MG’s” for restoration, this company is a well known restorer of this marquee.  The total bills come to £20,000 approx and there are photographs of the restoration.  She is finished in signal red with black leather trim, she has had fitted a wood-rim steering wheel and the steering is adjustable. She has a good black hood and side screens and sits on correct steel wheels.  It is worth noting we have the original buff log book and books and catalogues about MG’s.
