Lot No: 26
Year Make Model Mileage SOLD FOR
1937 Morris 14 67,161 (Not Warranted) £4000.00 + buyers premium

Description:

The Morris Fourteen or 14/6 Series II was produced from 1936 to 1937. An 1818cc six cylinder sidevalve engine powers the car through a 3 speed gearbox and features hydraulic brakes all-round.
TSU 471 is an older restoration having been saved from being used for banger racing around fifteen years ago. The car has undergone considerable attention since then and photos in the history file show much work was carried out to the chassis and body. Included by the vendor is an extensive list detailing some of the mechanical work undertaken in recent years, this includes: Engine rebuild, clutch relining, stainless exhaust, starter motor overhaul, brake relining and re-tempering of all four road springs…..the list goes on !! This particular car retains much of its wonderful art deco interior, and boasts a good working Pytchley sunshine roof and blue leather upholstery with matching blue carpets, all in good condition.
There are thought to be only 13 surviving examples of this model known to the Morris Register in the UK, and as such, would make this vehicle a rare and interesting acquisition for any classic car enthusiast.
