1937 Morris 8 Four Seat Tourer finished in Black. Series 1. Flashing indicators have now been fitted, which can be unplugged and removed in case the car is ever needed to be presented in original looking condition, for film and photography work, for example. The vehicle was originally owned from new by 2 maiden sisters who lived in Godshill, Isle of Wight. They kept the vehicle for about 30 years until it was sold to the second owners, a local lady, now deceased, and her then teenage son. It was from the son that the present owner purchased the car in October 2016. It has, therefore, only, effectively, had 3 owners from new. The mileage is showing on the odometer as just over 46,100. Due to the very light local use that the vehicle would have had throughout its life, it’s not impossible that this figure is genuine but is unwarranted. Professional major renovation and re-spray in 2012 by Prices Garage of Newport, Isle of Wight who are Morris classic car specialists. It is understood that the engine was replaced early in the car’s life but there is no paperwork to provide evidence of this or any other works carried out. New stainless steel exhaust 2 years ago. Much refurbishing done including very recent re-chroming of headlights and sidelights and recent replacement of all tyre inner-tubes.
