On the Surface: This Series 3 Morris LC3 Van is a unique classic vehicle with a brilliant backstory. Finished in a Blue, it holds the distinction of being the only vehicle in Great Britain to bear a Post Office-approved Queen’s Crest without being an official Post Office van.

Maintenance & History: This van carries a fascinating history, captured in a comprehensive file of annotated photographs documenting its time on film sets and in past usage. Once serving in the RAF, it transitioned to a colourful second life in film and television, including roles as a Royal Mail van in All Creatures Great and Small and as a key vehicle in The Great Train Robbery, where it carried the first mail sacks taken from the infamous heist.

Included with the vehicle are an original Morris-Commercial Truck LC Type Instruction Book and a Morris Commercial Driver’s Handbook.

The Model: The LC3 series was produced by Morris Commercial Cars Limited from 1948 to 1952. The Morris LC3 is an upgraded version of the LC series, showcasing improvements made after wartime production ceased and later resumed.

Sale Insight: This van is a rare opportunity to own a vehicle that has a past in military service and time on the silver screen.
