Description:The vendor states that this 1964 mini van is unrestored and totally original only having had 4 owners on the current V5C. We are told that the van was bought for the delivery of flowers and was found to be too small so it was only used for a short while, as they needed a larger van. Then she was put into storage for a great number of years. We are not certain when the vehicle was re-commissioned although the modern V5 shows a Mr. Terry Holmes acquired the vehicle in Novermber 06 and the last registered keeper, a Mr. Christopher Morris acquired the vehicle in January 11. We do have MOT history from 2009, mileage reading 24,130 and she is now reading just over 25,000. It has an MOT until April 19
Auctioneers Notes: The vendor is sure that the mileage is correct. We at SWVA can not verify this until we have more information. We have asked the vendor to do his best to obtain some early history. You only have to look at this little car, and I had the pleasure of driving it to have it photographed. The gear box is tight, all the seams seem original and she is available for inspection now for you to make up your own mind. Additional info: The vendor has done some research on the vehicle and found out that it transpires the van was bought privately and only used privately and not commercially. The first owner was at 15 Beech Ave Enfield Crews Hill and was then sold to T Holmes in Stevenage. Then it was bought by D O”Connor of Cambridge. Finally Chris Norris bought it in 2011 and between those owners the van was stored for 29 years. |
