Description:Description from The Vendor: First registered 21st June 1957 and sold to a lady from Evesham on the 1st July 1957. History of ownership up to 1974 is available with the brown and green log books provided. The next documentation is from 27th April 2007 from a gentleman from the Vale of Glamorgan who we assume carried out the restoration There are MOT certificates from April 2007 to March 2013 from D G Weaver Motors in Llandow The next MOT was issued 25-09-2014 from the person we obtained the vehicle from who lived in Cromer Norfolk and had carried out some restoration including new interior and carpets and some paintwork bills provided We purchased Mimi on the 1st of October 2014 and with an overnight stop with friends in Ipswich drove her back to Dorset (a bit of an experience driving over the 0E2 bridge and around the M25) In the time we have owned her we have covered 10,000 miles doing local car club runs and general motoring on sunny days We have replaced the gearbox and cylinder head and various other items during our ownership all receipts are enclosed. Although we have not had her MOTd we have always had her serviced and checked for road worthiness by a local garage.
Auctioneer’s notes: What a very charming Minor Convertible! She carries her 64 years of age very well. She has enjoyed an earlier restoration and the interior is really outstanding. All leather seats which look as new and so do the carpets. These cars are great fun to drive and they will cruise at 50 – 60 MPH all day long. She has had one upgrade, the engine has been changed to a 1098 cc giving 48 BHP resulting in a better performance. She is a delight to the eye and may be viewed, strictly by appointment. |
