Lot No: 26
Year Make Model Mileage SOLD FOR
1954 Morris Minor 33,536 (Warranted) £2625 + buyers premium

Description:

A genuine low mileage matching numbers ‘split screen’ Morris Minor.

Supplied new by ‘The National Garage & Filling Station’, Twyford Avenue, Portsmouth, to Miss Garrood of Cosham in 1954. It is a 4 door deluxe Series 2, and cost £601/7s/11d! The file includes the original invoice, stamped deposit receipt, owners handbook, lubrication chart, and many MOTs and servicing receipts. Miss Garrood owned the car until 1989, averaging just under 1,000 miles a year. The car has always lived in the Portsmouth area, with very sparing use since then. Almost all the MOTs have been kept by the two subsequent owners and show the mileage reading of 33,536 is indeed the mileage since new. The current registered keeper has had the car for 16 years, and although stored for most of this time, he has treated it to an engine, gearbox, and brake rebuild. The replaced parts have been kept and are in the boot. A delightfully original timewarp 62 year old Morris Minor.
