Morris Minor Convertible 1969

The vendor bought this Morris Minor in 2005 when he first started his classic car hire business and it is the only car he has kept throughout. It has always been very popular especially for weddings. During his ownership he estimates he must have replaced and renewed just about everything. At the beginning of 2016 when he moved to Devon the vendor had extensive body repairs done at a local specialist which included repairs to the boot, floor, inner wings, chassis legs and front wings. The car was then fully resprayed at a cost of over £2000. The car was fitted with a recon engine last year and a replacement gearbox this year. It also had a full brake overhaul with new master cylinder, pistons and shoes all round. MOT exempt.

Auctioneers notes: This lovely Minor convertible is affectionately known as “Harriet”. Has MOT history from 1987 to now plus old tax discs. The history file starts in July 86 with an invoice from Matthams Motors Chelmsford to Mrs M Miller for the sale of the car at a price of £1900 when the mileage was 79,000.
