Lot No: 26
Year Make Model Mileage SOLD FOR
1967 Riley Elf 74,583 (Not Warranted) £3,900 + buyers premium

Description:

Description from The Vendor:

I bought the car from Bradley James Classics in Hampshire for £8,000 on 21/07/2021 after the car had just been put through a fresh MOT. I have done some work to the car including refurbishing the radiator and fan blade, installing a new o/s rear wheel cylinder and also refurbed the air filter assembly amongst other jobs, some of which were undertaken by Whites Garage of Bridport.

My Wife and I have bought a modern classic, an Audi TT, and with space for only one car in the garage ‘Ethel’ must now go to another good home where she will be looked after.

Auctioneer’s Notes:

I have always liked these cars, they are the best looking of the Mini Range and the Mark III which came out in ’66 has one or two improvements.  On the braking side, the front brakes have twin leading shoes and mechanically, she has the larger 998 cc engine coupled to the remote gear leaver (as in Mini Coopers)  Externally, the door hinges are now internal and in the cockpit you will find wind up windows, air vents in the dash and, of course, you have that attractive walnut dash and real leather upholstery.  You can come and view this great little car, strictly by appointment.
