On the Surface: This fantastic example of the eye-catching Silver Shadow I is finished in the original colour scheme of Regency Bronze over Walnut, complemented by a Tan leather interior. The car has been in the same family ownership for the last 40 years, with the current owner acquiring it in 1987.

Maintenance & History: This Rolls-Royce comes with a substantial history file including MOT certificates dating back to 1980, numerous invoices, the original Rolls-Royce instruction handbook/bookpack, and the V5 registration document. The car boasts a full original tool kit and all cigar lighters and rarity considering that they are often missing. The service book features 9 stamps between 1975 and 1988, along with one handwritten entry. The vehicle has been serviced and maintained by the same Rolls-Royce specialist for 35 years, Invoices on file amount to over £8,000 for servicing and nearly £2,000 for parts, reflecting the commitment to its upkeep with total recorded expenditure amounting to nearly £10,500.

The Model: The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I was produced from 1965 to 1980, known for its unitary body and chassis construction—a first for the marque. The Silver Shadow I was produced from 1965 to 1976, with a combined model run of the Silver Shadow I and II reaching 30,057 units, making it the largest production volume of any Rolls-Royce model to date. Originally intended to be named Silver Mist, the name was changed to Silver Shadow to avoid negative tranlations in German. Between 19070 and 1980 the Silver Shadow was fitted with a 6.75 litre V8 engine that produced 189 BHP making it a punchy contender as well as plush.
