Description:Description from The Vendor: We purchased P870 CEL (Sunny) in 1997 from Bristol Street Motors Poole Ltd on 31 May 1997. She was generally used by my wife during the week and as a family car during the summer months. The children so loved travelling around with the roof down and the wind in their hair! Sunny was regularly used and serviced and has a full-service history since purchased. A new mohair hood was fitted in 2006. In 2012 my wife opted for a different vehicle and Sunny was parked in the garage for safekeeping. Since then Sunny was made roadworthy in 2016 with new tyres, a new battery, and an MOT. She was used during the summer until being mothballed once again. We have now decided that due to our age Sunny would have a better future with an enthusiast who could restore her to her original condition and enjoy the freedom of the open road as we once did.
Auctioneer’s notes: This 1997 Rover 216 Cabriolet, in my opinion, deserves to be restored and has been entered by the one owner from new. She comes with a purpose-made waterproof and insulated cover, complete book pack, and service book with 11 stamps plus a Gov. MOT history.
