Description:Auctioneer’s notes: This is a very fine example of a ’48 Rover 75 Sports Saloon. They were only made in 1947 and 1948 retaining most of the pre-war panels etc. except for the engine which had this new desirable OHV and SV configuration plus these cars were the first Rovers to have independent front suspension. The cars, when they left the factory, had a 2.3 L engine but this one has gained a 2.6L engine of the same configuration as the original one. The vendor has owned her for 17 years and you have not one but 4 workshop manuals (all different) plus invoices for work carried out over the years and lastly a Rover Sports Register Membership list and yearbook.
