It features metallic British racing green paintwork, beige Connolly leather interior and walnut dash and door trims. The engine is the same non-catalyst 1.4-litre Rover K-series as fitted to the GTa so it’s very peppy. This Metro was purchased in February 1991 for £10,600 (original bill of sale included), power steering was fitted (cost £1,500 plus VAT) the following year, and it was serviced every year by The Forge Garage, Oxford. The vendor is just the third owner (4th registered) in 30 years – the second owner re-registered the vehicle in his wife’s name and it stayed in the family for many years.
