Matching numbers S1 Rover P6 3500. Believed to have been laid up by it’s elderly owner in 1984 (tax discs supplied) with 29,000 miles on the clock. It was discovered in the garage in 2016 still covered in blankets. Over £5000 spent on recommissioning (invoices in folder) including engine, brakes, fuel systems all rebuilt, new headlamps, stainless steel exhaust, carburettors. 8 track and radio work. New Dunlop tyres.

Auctioneers Notes: This car has something special about her. We know she went into storage in 1984 at the age of 14 years. The tax discs records are on file and run from 1971 – 1984. She has the original book pack ,but sadly no service records. The first owners Mr & Mrs Roland, put her into store in a barn, covered her up with blankets and there she stayed for a further 34 years until the present owner acquired her and recommissioned her
in 2016/17. All invoices are in the file. This is a lovely original example of the last of the real Rovers, both inside and out. She has not been molested in any way, she is not concurs but has a lovely patina. She even comes with the original Radiomobile radio with 8 track stereo tape player. So, the big question is, is the mileage correct? I can’t say so, therefore, it is up to you after examining the car and look at the lack of wear on the foot pedals, you might feel the mileage is correct.
